John 8:11 states this: ^"If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world."

-  You are not of this world-you don't belong here. You have NO citizenship WHATSOEVER to anything in this earth. Think of yourself as an alien. You have visited this planet but your citizenship or loyalty belongs to your home--God. We, as Christians are here on an assignment. We are in a sense, agents for Christ. Think about an agent. Just as agents recieve their instruction from the head of their agency, we recieve our instruction from our head--which is Jesus. He is the head of the body of Christ. God has layed out and planned a purpose for your life. But, you can't finish that assignment if you're caught up into the world.

   So, here's a scripture. 1 John 2:15-16 AMP "Do not love or cherish the world or the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world--the lust of the flesh [craving for sensual gratification] and the lust of the eyes [greedy longings of the mind] and the pride of life [assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things]--these do not come from the Father but are from the world [itself]." 

 This verse is kind of self-explanatory. Loving the world in this scripture basically means acting like or getting "caught up" into the things in the world. Now, this isn't referring to the earth as in planets and stars and galaxies. This is talking about the world in relation to believers. The world is basically the unbelievers or those without God. Now, I know you know how many unbelievers act. If you don't, then just look around at your school or watch t.v. for a while...you'll begin to get the picture. But, this scripture explains more about that. 

1 John 5:19 NIV states that "the whole world is under the control (or influence) of Satan."

 Why would you want to imitate or be like something belonging to somebody who hates you. Because that's who Satan is. He wants to kill you and destroy everything in your life. So, again, why would you act like or even look up to somebody or something belonging to Satan when you belong to God. Do you WANT to belong to Satan? Do you want him to rule over your life and be your god? THEN STOP ACTING LIKE IT. The Bible says that you can't serve two masters...SO WHY TRY?!!! Serve God. Most of this generation is at a state where they are lukewarm. Being lukewarm is when you are not Hot or on fire for God but you are not a sinner either--you try to lead a double life. You want to be with God because He'll get you into heaven and all, but you also want to be like the world and act like your peers. You act one way at church--praying and acting all holy--but go to school and start cussing and acting just like you DONT know God. Now, Jesus said in Revelation 3:16, that He's going to spit you out of His mouth. He'd rather for you to be a flat-out sinner than being a lukewarm person. Believe me, you DONT want to get spit out of Jesus' mouth.

3 John 1:11 NIV reads "Don't imitate what is evil (basically the world), but what is good (or Godly). Anyone who does what is good is FROM GOD (of God). Anyone who does what is evil has not seen (or known) God."

  Why would you want to act like you don't know or that you don't belong to God? Because that's EXACTLY what you do when you go around acting like the world!

 1 John 3:8 NIV states what I just said. "He who does what is sinful is OF THE DEVIL, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning..."

  It even goes further to say in 1 John 2:5-6, that if you go around doing things that the world does (or of the world) and claim to have a real relationship or fellowship with God, then you are lying. The Bible calls you a LIER. The Bible refers to this as darkness. Darkness is really anything not of God. And, since you are of God, of light, then there should be no darkness in you either because you should strive to be like God. This requires work. Getting saved is just the beginning. There is MUCH to be done in God's Kingdom, and He needs you to STEP UP, recognizing that you are His, and start ACTING LIKE IT!! So if you are really of God and you BELONG--are the property of--God, then SHOW IT!! Because at this point, it's getting harder and harder to tell the difference between a sinner and a Christian. They look alike, dress alike, talk alike, and act alike, except one is going to heaven while the other will burn in hell. This may be the reason that many people in the world are not too willing to come into God's light--we seem to be just like them so they figure, why bother? You are sending a bad message to this world. They know how Christians are SUPPOSED to act--they're not ignorant--but they see you acting JUST LIKE THEM and don't want to be apart of God. Why? Because you are being a straight up hypocrite and are "perpetrating." It's time to get over this. You need to be either all-out for God or all-out for Satan. There is no between because you're going to end up being pushed to one of those two sides. This is the year of judgement and you WILL be judged if you don't get your act together. This is apart of judging yourself. So it's going to be your choice--your decision. I pray you make the right one. You either are going to LIVE FOR GOD OR DIE FOR SATAN. Because when you follow him (Satan), he is going to do his best to TAKE YOU OUT OF HERE. And in a hurry. So PLEASE CHOOSE GOD. He's waiting on you. All you have to do is REPENT of being "fake" with Him, and start to follow Him--to be "ON FIRE" for God. So, I'll leave you with this: You do not belong to this world, so stop perpetratin and start to ACT LIKE IT.. You are the property of God. He purchased you from Satan with the greatest price imaginable and He now owns you. So don't try to double back from your owner (God) and sneak back into being under Satan's control. BE HOT, NOT COLD...
